For the unknown


In the dark I ponder what I might say

Before dawn breaks into day

Fanciful nothings for whom I would run away

Down a cold dark path I will take flight

Following a white ribbon toward a first ray of light

My bounty of crimson colors to offer before tonight

A chance at losing myself in the fray

Please accept my benevolence into your hand with out delay

Are you ready to know I’m not ok

I am a dreamer seeking two windows in plain sight

Soul filled circles to drown me without a fight

Let me descend into your eyes with delight

  Photo credit: Pamela Cain  "Claremont balcony" For my Children " All of life's great adventures are sprinkled with pain " Tuesday March 28:     As I departed my house backing out of my driveway I realized that after a long of work day in the cold, I was exhausted. This was only the opening to the second act of day. 6pm on a Tuesday, and I was leaving for spring break. Freshly shorn; winter beard gone, and the mop of on my head cut short. I   was feeling lighter, and ready for warm weather.   As I slowly backed out the driveway my Mom called, and no matter my situation I try to always answer her. It was good to hear her voice and I kept her on the line as I drove to the bank. I extracted $300 emergency travel cash. Our lively conversation kept rolling all the way to Suttons Bay, when something in our words reminded me that I was supposed to bring Colin’s medication. Maisie drives 2024 spring break trip

  Friday, March 22nd 2024 After working in the cold for 8 hours   5pm drive towards Richmond Michigan At Bay city the snow storm began Three hours in slippery snow and darkness 10pm safe at moms A glass of scotch and a three hour chat Saturday, March 23rd 2024   8am Breakfast with my family Hair cut Shop for trip essentials at Target Walk dogs for Karen Drink rum with Alex Enjoy baby Zander and family Sunday, March 24th 2024 Out the door at 7:20am 15 year old daughter is driving Breakfast at Mac Donalds Drove straight through to Charleston, West Virginia Talking the whole way 2:40pm Find hotel in industrial area Lots of hills, rivers, and bridges   Walk about down town, and the state capital   A craft beer for dad Dinner at Jimmy Johns Ice cream from the Piggly Wiggly Then a surprise connection with Bill Eddins Monday, March 25th 2024 7:30am Waffles at the hotel Coffee is not drinkable Find the toll authority hiding between the hills rivers railroads and highway...
